NINA JEROCH
alumega
The Berlin architect Nina Jeroch made a name for herself in the first years of her design career with her unusual decorative light objects, which amaze the wearer and viewer with the use of LED components.
After these successes in the surprising combination of light and decoration, Jeroch takes a similarly unconventional approach to her "Alumega" lighting series with LED technology: the circuit board - the heart of this technology - which usually remains invisible, becomes both a light body and a decorative element: Jeroch breaks through the surface of the board and creates decors that are reminiscent of labyrinths and floor plans of Indian temples.
In a further development of this lighting system, the decoratively perforated boards can be assembled as two-dimensional basic elements to form three-dimensional rectangular and square high-tech 'lampshades'. These 'lampshades' emit light inwards, which is bathed in an almost mystical gold by the golden conductor tracks and stands in an attractive contrast to the silver-anodized aluminum outside of the circuit boards with their geometric openings.
